Reports
will be released at the end of this week. Included with the report for Years 2,
3, 4, 5 and 6 will be the National Test results for your child. In addition,
children in Year 2 and Year 6 will receive their end of key stage
outcomes/levels. These have been awarded by the teacher based on the continuous
assessment of the children throughout the year and indeed key stage. Should you
have any queries regarding any of this information, please do not hesitate to
contact us in school.
You
will notice that reports have changed slightly this year as they reflect a new
approach to marking that has been introduced throughout the school. Throughout
our Foundation Phase department, teachers use the ‘tickled pink’ and ‘green for
growth’ icons to celebrate achievement and provide next steps for learning.
These have been carried through into the reports. Similarly, In Key Stage 2
teachers use WWW (What Went Well)
and EBI (Even Better If) to the same
end when marking work. Again, these child friendly prompts have been used in
the reports for a consistent approach.
