Healthy Week Returns to Ffynnon Taf

This year our ‘Healthy Week’ will be held week commencing 27th June. As usual, we will be taking part in sponsored challenges to raise funds to put towards new resources for our school. Last year, our 'Castle to Castle' hike and ‘Taff Trail Ramble’ raised over £1500 and helped fund upgraded laptops. This year we have some brand new challenges to look forward to and these will take place on Thursday 30th June (Juniors) and Friday 1st July (Infants).

Lower Foundation Phase children (Teigr and Eliffant) will take part in a ‘Welly Walk’ as part of their topic – Pitter Patter Puddle Play. Upper Foundation Phase children (Coala and Cangarw) will take part in a ‘scoot and dash’ within the school grounds.

Meanwhile, Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Twcan, Rhino Gwyn and Llew) will be focusing on their running skills and taking part in a ‘colour dash’ on the school field. This will involve them being painted a different colour for each lap they complete. For this activity we would ask that each child come to school on the day in a white t-shirt.

Further details of each of these activities including any equipment/clothing needed will be sent out shortly. If for any reason you do not wish your child to take part in their class activity, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible.

As usual, children will be reminded of safe sponsor collection in an assembly. All forms and money should be returned to school by the morning of Monday 4th July.

Thank you once again for your continued support.
