Before we broke up for half term, the staff took part in a cluster INSET day with Hawthorn High School and all its feeder primaries providing literacy themed workshops. As well as running a P4C workshop with Hawthorn High staff, a group of our pupils also led an action packed session teaching staff how to do Kung Fu Punctuation. Over the course of the day, and 4 workshop sessions, they taught over 100 teachers!
Unsurprisingly, they were a credit to their school, their families and themselves and recieved many great compliments from the other schools regarding their confidence and enthusiasm. They really enjoyed the day, especially the 3 course dinner, and didn't seem to mind in the slightest they were missing a potential day off!
We are all extremely proud of them and today in assembly, they were presented with a small gift to show how much their contribution was valued! What a great bunch of talented children...
