We have already made some really pleasing progress with our school development targets this year. We aim to be an ever-improving school and each year we set ourselves a series of challenging improvement targets which continue to push us closer to our vision. This has led to standards being raised in reading, writing and maths in the past couple of years through the introduction of an exciting and fast paced skills based curriculum.
We aim to continue this improvement by focusing on children's speaking, listening and thinking skills this year. We also aim to raise the profile of Science, Welsh and Music skills while using emerging technologies across the curriculum to engage children in learning both in school and at home. The full overview of targets is as follows:
As you can see, we also plan to improve our outdoor learning environment and make better use of it while developing the 'Pupil Voice' in our school. The Welsh Government's LNF (Literacy Numeracy Framework) also features and we are currently writing a parent guide for this framework to keep you up to date with latest developments along with suggestions of how you can help extend learning at home.
