Children in Need is almost upon us and the representatives of the school council have decided to do something very different to raise funds this year! They would like us to hold a school 'bake off' following the popularity of the TV show.
Obviously, we do not have the facilities in school to cook on that scale so children are invited to bring in cakes they have made (or decorated) themselves at home (for health and safety reasons, parents are allowed to help out a tiny bit!) The cakes can be large and shareable or individual - the choice is yours! Our very own cake connoisseurs will judge the cakes on what they look like and what they taste like on Friday afternoon and a 'Star Baker' will be announced in a special assembly. All cakes will then be on sale from 3.15pm in the school hall for a special 'Children in Need' cake sale.
The school council realises that all children will not want to bake a cake so to include everyone, Friday will also be a pyjama day! For a £1 donation, children and staff can come to school in their night clothes. Cakes and pyjamas - what a way to spend a Friday! Please help the school council in raising its target of £200 for this important cause. Thank you for your support...
