Big Writing & Big Talk Open Morning

On Friday 8th April, we are planning to put on a Big Writing/Big Talk open morning. The purpose of this session will be to give parents a better understanding of how writing is currently taught in school, how talking is linked to a child’s writing development and how parents can get involved at home. We aim to develop this understanding through the following:


• A presentation explaining Big Writing, Big Talk and VCOP

• A chance to watch groups of children taking part in sample VCOP activities

• A chance to observe (and take part in) a whole-school Kung Fu Punctuation session

• A classroom open-door session as children complete their writing task.

The session will begin at 9.15am and last until approximately 10.30am; refreshments will be available throughout the morning. We look forward to seeing you there!
