New Entrance Arrangements

You'll be pleased to know that the extensive building works that have taken place over the last four months are now almost complete. Over the half term holiday the school hall has been repainted, fencing has been finished, new ramps installed and the admin and headteacher office have officially been moved into. All of this allows us to officially 'switch' to our new entrance at the rear of the school. The new entrance is approached by entering the carpark through the second set of gates and following the yellow fencing in front of you around to the right. This will lead you to the ramp up to the new entrance with a new green canopy over as shown below.

There are two clear procedures that need to be followed to ensure our site is as safe as it can be.

Drop off and pick up procedures

These will remain the same. At 8.50am, the gates to the playground will be opened and parents/children will be allowed to enter. At 9.00am the children will line up and proceed into class. Parents will leave via the same gates and these will be locked at 9.05am. At the end of the school day,   the gates will be opened at 3.10pm and the children will leave their classrooms by the usual exits. Parents and children will again exit the school site by the same set of gates. Throughout the school day, these gates will remain securely locked.

Visits to school at any other time

If visiting the school at any other time (e.g. to collect a child early, for an appointment, to see Mrs James or due to lateness) parents are to use the new entrance and report directly to Mrs James in her new office. If parents need to see Mrs James or Mr Worth after dropping their children in the morning, we would respectfully ask that you leave the school grounds via the main gates and make your way to the new entrance. Please do not pass through the school via the class entrances.

Breakfast club drop off procedures remain the same. After school club children are now to be collected from the new entrance to ensure the security of all children present.

Staff will be out and about over the next couple of days to ensure these new arrangements work. Don't hesitate to ask should you have any questions. Thank you once again in anticipation of your support.
