I regret to inform you that after many years hard work, the current
members of the WLFTFA have taken the decision to stand down from their roles.
This ‘retirement’ comes after raising thousands of pounds for the school,
enabling us to purchase playground equipment, a trim trail, laptops and iPads
amongst many other valuable resources for the benefit of all the children.
While for the school it is a loss, I think all would agree that a rest is well
deserved. I’d like to take this opportunity to formally thank them for all they
have done for Ffynnon Taf in recent years.
This leaves us without an active PTA/Fundraising committee. With school
budgets being cut year on year, fundraising is now a necessary form of school
income rather than the luxury it once was. We are currently looking at a number
of options but before making any firm decisions, would like to find out if
there are any parents who would be interested in forming or working with a new
committee.
If you would like to be part of a new PTA/Fundraising committee, either
through taking on a core role or by helping out at events, please contact us in
school. If there is enough interest we will call a meeting with the interested
parties to decide on a way forward. If not, we will investigate running a staff
led fundraising body with parent volunteers at events.
