Sport Relief 2014 & Fairtrade Banana Bake Off!

What a great day we had on Friday! We supported Sport Relief 2014 with staff and children giving a donation to come to school dressed as their sporting hero or in the kit of their favourite sport. It was wonderful to see so many of the children in sporting gear and the huge variety of sports represented! Many of the classes also took part in sports themed activities during the day. To mark 'Fairtrade Fortnight,' parents and children were also invited to take part in a 'Banana Bake Off.' We could not believe the fantastic assortment of banana themed cakes, desserts, smoothies and other snacks that came into school. Mrs Bailey and the Eco-committee had the difficult task of judging the winning bakers who were presented with prizes in assembly. The snacks were then sold in what has to be our busiest ever cake sale. All proceeds from this will be added to the sport kit donations and given to Sport Relief. We'll reveal the grand total to you on Monday but for now - well done everyone for a very successful day!
