Friday reminders!
Once again, two of the events we love to celebrate at Ffynnon Taf have arrived at the same time! Friday marks Sport Relief 2014 and is also the day we had planned to complete activities for 'Fairtrade Forftnight!' Rather than change our plans, and to make things easier for parents (this has been a very busy few weeks for home tasks and dressing up!) we have decided to combine the two.
Children are invited to come to school on Friday either dressed as their favourite sports hero or in the kit/clothes of their favourite sport (charge: £1)! We are bound to see many great rugby and football kits but don't be afraid to be as imaginative as you like. Mrs Howells is polishing her ski goggles as we speak! To celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight, Mrs Bailey has launched a 'Banana Bake-off' following the success of the Children in Need bake off earlier in the year. A flyer was sent out last week but we are basically looking for snacks made from bananas (cakes, biscuits, smoothies etc) that can be sold at a Fairtrade stall at the end of the day.
All proceeds from the non uniform and Fairtrade stall will go to Sport Relief!
