School Garden Rejuvenation!

We were extremely lucky yesterday to have the services of 17 employees of Lloyds Bank to completely clear, re-plant, rebuild and repair our school garden. One of the employees -  our very own parent Mr Hoe -  suggested our school when they were looking at prospective projects for their 'Day To Make A Difference' scheme. The scheme releases bank employees to undertake and complete community based projects in just one day (you can read more about it by clicking here -https://www.lloydsbankinggroupcommunities.com/volunteering/ui_about_d2mad.asp ) With the sad news of Emily and the plan to transform part of the garden into a memorial, it was felt the perfect focus for their day of hard manual labour!

Despite the weather, fantastic progress was made and we now have a garden of which we can be proud again. The school has plans to use its outdoor spaces to greater effect so this gives us just the start we need to put these plans into place. We cannot thank Mr Hoe and his team enough for firstly choosing our school and secondly for all the hard work that transformed our garden once again. We look forward to inviting them all back in Spring to see the full effect! Here are a few pictures (between rainfalls) of the day...
