Drama Day at Ffynnon Taf

On Tuesday our teachers will be taking part in a 'non-closure' training day. As part of our School Development Plan we have set ourselves the challenge of further improving the standards of teaching and learning in maths throughout the school. Part of this process has seen teachers training in and investigating a number of the latest approaches in teaching maths. Tuesday will give the teachers an opportunity to share what they have learnt and for us to plan the best way forward for our school.

As you may be aware, the number of days a school can close for training has reduced from 7 to 5 this year. As a result, we will not be closing but have enlisted the help of Bigfoot Theatre in Education in providing exciting and challenging drama workshop days for all of our classes. The actors will work on topics that have been chosen by each class teacher. We will keep you posted of the outcomes via twitter and the blog! Please note, All staff will be present on site for the whole of the day.

On the subject of training days, a quick reminder of the two that are left for this academic year:

Monday 17th June - School closed as staff travel to London to view best practice in Philosophy For Children

Monday 22nd July - School closed for School Self Evaluation day
