Christmas!

The autumn term has flown by and the last few weeks have been especially busy but very enjoyable. We kicked off our Christmas celebrations with a very successful Christmas Fair (raising £500!) and followed this with fantastic performances of Snow Queen and Whoops-a-Daisy Angel. To finish the term we had a school disco,   trips to the pantomime or to visit Santa and Year 6 took part in an enjoyable trip to London to visit the Imperial War Museum and ride the London Eye.

I will send a full newsletter home in the new year with details of forthcoming events and activities but wanted to take this opportunity to thank the PFA. They have worked so hard once again in raising an incredible £1400 for the school this term. They were overwhelmed by the support from parents and wanted to arrange a thank you party/disco. However, this clashed with the school disco so arrangements are being made for the new year. I attach their newsletter for a further breakdown of monies raised.

Finally, a quick reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday 20th December) and Tuesday 3rd January are teacher training days so the spring term 2012 starts on Wednesday 4th January for children.

All that is left for me to do is wish children, parents and staff alike a very merry Christmas and a prosperous and successful 2012! Have a restful break and I look forward to working with you all again next term.
