Children in Need Day!

What a great day Friday was. To begin with we had 18 teachers from different schools come to see the children at work with a session of 'Big Writing.' The children (and staff) blew them away and all left extremely impressed, particularly with the behaviour of the children and the standards of writing they were demonstrating! A big well done to all involved...

However, the real highlight of the day was the 'Ffynnon Taf's got Talent' contest arranged by the school council to raise funds for Children in Need. With only a week to register and rehearse we were all taken aback by the range of talent on offer in our school. We had solo singers, groups, a comedic actor (!), rugby tricks, martial arts demonstrations, nursery rhyme recitals, a drummer and two pianists. A big well done to Louis Beese for winning the contest with a high energy drum performance. Special mention should also go to our fantastic judges (mentioned above) who kept the banter flowing and our two hosts who tied the whole event together with flair!

Well done to the school council for their organisational skills and for raising £185 for Children in Need in the process. Check out some of the images of the day below.
