PACT Week 2011

Last week was PACT (Parents And Children Together) week in school and we were all pleased to see such a good turn out of parents at the sessions. Junior children invited their parents to join them in an orienteering lesson while parents of the infant children took part in a PESS 'Play to Learn' session. Feedback from all involved was extremely positive and as a result, this will become a permanent fixture in the school calendar - albeit with a changing focus each year. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Beverly, the Merthyr PESS worker, as well as Ian and Lorna from Gwent Oudoor Education Centres for agreeing to lead the sessions.
