The school council have decided that we will celebrate World Book Day this year by dressing up as a character from a famous book or story. Many suggestions have been made, from Harry Potter to The Twits, but the options are endless. Staff will also be getting into the spirit and are busy planning their own costumes! In addition, we wish to continue our strong links with our partner school in Mbale, Uganda so are supporting the PONT World Book Day initiative. All we ask is that each child bring in a donation of a children's book and £1. This will give many children in Uganda the chance to own their very own book. World Book Day will take place this year on Thursday 3rd March. We hope you agree that this is a very worthwhile cause and I look forward to your support on the day!
