On Friday, the local representatives from 'Operation Christmas Child' arrived at school to collect the shoe boxes that had been filled by our children and staff. They were thrilled to take away with them more than 40 boxes - that's more than 40 children around the world that will have the wonderful surprise of a present this Christmas. The children have been talking enthusiastically all week about choosing items to go into their shoe boxes - showing great empathy and developing an understanding of the plight of those less fortunate than themselves! Da iawn bawb!I would also like to thank everybody who kindly sponsored me in this year's Cardiff Half Marathon. We raised over £100 to kick start our fundraising for the new projector in the hall - that made every mile worth it! It also gave myself and the PFA an idea for next year. We are considering creating a team for next year's half marathon to raise funds for a 'trim trail' for the school field. I will post more details about this after Christmas but in the meantime, if you think you may like to take part, let me know!
