The children in Nursery and Reception have been learning all about India this term. As part of this exciting topic all the children and staff took part in a Diwali party today to celebrate the festival of light. The Foundation Phase building was decorated with traditional lights along with the Diya lamps the children had made in earlier lessons. Traditional Indian music was played and the staff dressed in authentic Indian costume while the children wore crowns and sampled some delicious Indian food. It was a great success - more pictures will be added to the Class 1 & 2 blogs soon.
