Before half term we were approached by the police due to the large number of cars illegally parking at the end of the school day. We understand how difficult it is to park within the vicinity of the school but would ask that parents avoid parking on the yellow zig zags or on the drop down curb in front of the Taffs Well Inn. The landlord is quite happy for the parking spaces outside his property to be temporarily used as long as these do not then become blocked due to people illegally parking their cars at the front of the pub. The police have informed us that they will prosecute in future.In the interest of our pupils' safety we are currently working with our Eco-committee and 'Safe Routes to School' to look at ways of improving the parking situation - including possible development of a 'walking bus' but we will let you know more as ideas are developed. I am sure you will all understand that this is an important issue of safety but one that can be resolved by everyone working together. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
