Class 4 had an enjoyable day last Thursday when Mrs Aldridge and a chef visited from the Frankie and Benny's restaurant in Nantgarw. Last term the class studied healthy eating and they have designed their own 'healthy pizzas'.Mrs Pontin has showed them how nets are used to make different sized pizza boxes and this certainly helped the children with their maths skills of measuring and 3d shape. They have been able to taste examples of different pizzas freshly prepared for the children and will now visit Franie and Benny's on May 4th to taste test their own designs! Many thanks to Mrs Aldridge (Finnlay from Year 6's mum) for arrangng the visits and supplying the delicious food. What a tasty topic to study in school!
