Rugby Success
Ffynnon taf rugby team played five matches against local schools this afternoon (MARCH 17TH). After a tough start and narrow loss against Trerobert school the boys then faced Ysgol Evan James from Pontypridd. Our boys were committed from the first whistle and soon scored some splendid tries. Deon Mota, Saleem Domun and Jesse Leach all scored and the team managed to keep the lead in the second half. Final score Ffynnon Taf 15 - Evan James 10. Next up was Pont Sion Norton School. Again the Ffynnon Taf boys showed great skill and courage with excellent tries from William Pugh and Bradley Mclellan. Final score Ffynnon Taf 10 - Pont Sion Norton 5. The boys then suffered a few minor injuries with Nathan O Brien and Jesse Leach both suffering. As a result an under strength team lost their final matches to Heol Y Celyn and Coedpenmaen schools. Congratulations to all the team for all their efforts this season. Well done to Adam Cleeves for making his debut for the team. Also, Deon Mota continues to represent Ffynnon Taf in the Pontypridd and Districy U 11 squad despite only being in Year 5. Da iawn boys!
