New Classrooms Update

As I'm sure you've probably noticed, our new classrooms arrived on site on Tuesday with much fanfare and excitement from the children. Due to the complex nature of our site, two huge cranes were erected in the car park. Strategically placed, they spent the day manoeuvring the six parts of the building into place.

We took a sneaky look inside yesterday and the classrooms are huge and have a great outlook over the field. Obviously, they have been in situ at another school for the past couple of years so the next 3 weeks will be spent refurbishing the rooms to include new ceilings, carpets, steps, handrails and security doors. Once the rooms are handed over to us, we will be decorating and sourcing furniture and resources. We expect to be able to start using the new spaces after the half term break.

Understandably, there have been many rumours circulating amongst the children as to what the rooms will be used for. As we are mid way through an academic year, we will NOT be moving any current classes into the room. For the remainder of this year, we will be using the spaces for literacy and numeracy support and intervention as well as additional learning space which is currently limited in our school.

We'd like to take the opportunity to thank all our parents for the cooperation you have given in adjusting your pick up/drop off routines. The last few weeks have gone by without incident and that is down to you working with us to provide a safe site at all times of the day. Thank you.
