Sport Relief 2016

On Friday, we took part in Sport Relief with the aim of raising awareness and money for this important charity. Even before we started our day, we were involved in activity with two walking busses running from Taff's Well village and Nantgarw. The day itself kicked off with a fantastic assembly from Dosbarth Eliffant (see separate post) before children took part in a range of sporting activities throughout the day. These included Zumba sessions for all classes led by Miss Ratliff, penalty shootouts with Mr Jones and Mr Pemberton and a mile run with Mr Worth and Mrs Tucker. The day ended with a very competitive game of netball between staff and the school netball squad (more details and pictures of that later!)

It was a great day and thanks to the effort of all the children and staff we raised over £150. Da yawn to everyone for their support and enthusiasm!
