The headteacher of our partner school, Buchunya Primary in Uganda, spent the day with us on Friday and a great time was had by all. Ben took a tour of the school and met all the classes before taking part in 'hot seat' sessions in Dosbarth Llew and Rhino Gwyn. He had lunch with all the staff before we officially welcomed him to our school in an assembly. He presented the school with a wall hanging, flag and letters from his staff and children.
Our children took to him straight away and were queing up to high five him on the way out of the assembly. The feeling was mutual with Ben describing our children as intelligent, friendly and fun. Children (and staff) are learning so much and we have even more planned for next week including meetings with the school council to plan future projects.
