Harvest
Thursday October 23rd 2014
This year for our
annual Harvest assembly Dosbarth Cangarw are taking charge and will be
performing their class assembly about the Christian Harvest and the Jewish
Succoth (Parents of Dosbarth Cangarw are invited to attend 9.15 am in the school
hall).
As part of these
celebrations this year we are asking for donations of non-perishable food for
the local food banks who rely on food donations to feed local people in crisis
(or a small donation to PONT who are
supporting the Size of Wales project.
This organisation is actively involved in planting and tending trees in
the highly deforested area of Uganda. Soil stabilisation will be restored by
reforesting the Mbale area – putting an end to dangerous landslides. This project is also helping 5 coffee
co-operatives to grow shade trees to protect coffee crops, supporting over 30
villages to establish tree nurseries, and is working with over 1, 600 families.
Please can all donations (food or
money) be sent into school by Wednesday 22nd October.
Thank you for your continued
support.
