A big welcome back to all
our children, staff and parents as a new year starts at Ffynnon Taf. A full
newsletter with important information and some useful dates for your diary will
be out next week. Until then, there are just a couple of points that need addressing.
Firstly, many of you would
have received the text highlighting the training day on Tuesday 11th
September. This is a cluster training day where staff from all schools will
undertake literacy training at ESIS in Nantgarw. I would like to point out that
we have no choice but to close and had no say in the day selected for this
training. This will form one of our statutory training days and is not an
additional day. I apologise for any inconvenience caused by the late notice of
this closure.
Secondly, you would have
noticed that the new classroom is finished but our planned improvements do not
end there. We are currently working on the design of a new early years
playground which will see the existing site extend to the fence where the
pedestrian access gate is located. As a result this gate will remain out of
use. The procedures for dropping off and picking up will remain almost the same
as when construction was taking place. The only difference being the middle
silver gates will now be open for pedestrian access.
