Taff's Well Light Parade

On Monday 10th December at 4pm, Taff's Well's first ever 'Light Parade' will take place in the village. The event, which has been arranged by our local Reverend, Sue O'Hare, will see children walk from the school to the church with a range of lanterns they have designed themselves through our special Christmas competition. At the church the children will view a 'live' nativity scene (with real animals!) and have the opportunity to join in with a few carols.

All our children have been invited to attend but due to the parade taking place out of school hours (and indeed after dark) they must be accompanied by an adult. The parade will commence from 4pm on the school yard and children are encouraged to dress in 'Nativity' themed costume. The whole event should be finished by 5.30pm.

I'd also like to remind you that entries for the lantern competition should be brought into school on Friday for judging. We have seen some wonderful designs already but we stress that the lanterns can be as simple as time and resources allow (a torch wrapped in tinsel is very effective). The more children with lanterns on the night, the more successful and effective the parade will be.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me in school. We look forward to seeing you on the night...
