Training Days

Five training days are awarded to schools to use at their discretion for the professional development of staff and raising of standards. In previous years, the Welsh Government has added a further two days for the development of numeracy and literacy – this is not the case this year. The five training days planned for this year are as follows:

 

·         Monday 3^rd September 2012 – School Development Planning

·         Tuesday 11^th September 2012 – LEA enforced reading training

·         Friday 5^th October 2012 – ‘Cornerstones Curriculum’ development day

·         Friday 22^nd March 2013 – Sharing best practice in Maths

·         Monday 17^th June 2013 – Philosophy for Children training.

 

School development plans will be sent home shortly explaining what the training means for our school and more importantly, for your children.
