Our sports day this year will be held on Tuesday 26th June at 1.15pm on the school field. We had originally planned to hold an olympic style day of events with team sports in the morning and individual events in the afternoon. However, with the number of children now on roll and the tight timescales of our morning session it has proven more difficult than anticipated to do justice to this style of event.
It is now our intention to hold the individual and relay races (our traditional sports day) on the Tuesday afternoon with no events on that morning. As many of our classes are studying the Olympics as their summer topic, we will hold a fun olympic day (team events) for the children nearer the end of term.
As always you are welcome to join us on the school field from 1.15pm. Could we ask that all children bring their PE kit (in house colours) with them to school on that day along with a sun hat. I would also be grateful if sun cream could be applied to the children before they come to school. If any children require the school's house colour T-shirts, Mrs James has a range available in the school office.
We will be keeping a close eye on the weather in the run up to Tuesday and will notify you on Tuesday morning by 10am should we need to postpone.
