School Trips

One of our targets based on your responses to the parental questionnaire was to review our enrichment provision – particularly with reference to school trips. We have received specific feedback from a number of parents that an annual school trip is missed. As a result we are looking to provide the following during a school year:


• One visit to a theatre to see a live show/pantomime

• A variety of small, local trips based on curriculum (little or no cost involved)

• A significant trip based on one of the class topic areas.

• Residential visits (Y5/6 only)

The one issue connected to running such a programme would of course be the cost involved. Our aim is that the cost for an individual child would not exceed £40 in a year (this does not include any planned residential visits). With many parents having more than one child in the school, we understand this would be a substantial amount of money. With this in mind, we would always endeavor to give maximum notice, accept installments and survey parents prior to booking any such trip.

We will be contacting parents of individual classes as and when trips are arranged.
