House Points

We intend to use our school house point system on a more regular basis in school this year. Currently, house points are given out on St David’s day as part of our Eisteddfod and on sports day for race positions. This will continue but we will now also give out house points to those receiving ‘SMART Pupil’ certificates and other school rewards. We will also hold seasonal competitions and homework projects which will be linked to the system. We are working on a new house point scoreboard in the hall which will be updated each Friday in our celebration assembly. At the end of the year, a special trophy will be presented to the house that has collected the most points.


To make this system work effectively, we have had to reassign children to one of the four houses – Coch (red), Melyn (Yellow), Glas (Blue) and Gwyrdd (Green). To make it easier to support your children we have also assigned siblings to the same house. In order to increase the visibility of the house colours in and around the school, we are asking that all children wear a t-shirt in their colour as part of their PE uniform. The company that provides our uniform has these available (complete with school logo) for just £3.20 each. I have attached an order form below for those wishing to take this inexpensive option.
