Summer Fair

It was touch and go whether or not the annual Summer Fair would take place on Saturday due to the awful weather. Luckily, the rain held off long enough for the fair to go ahead as planned even if some of the activities could not take place.

Radio 2 presenter, and celebrity gardener, Terry Walton opened the event and stayed to judge the children's 'garden in a box' competition as well as offering gardening tips to those wanting to develop their 'green fingers!' Academy cheerleaders gave a demonstration of their skills while children took part in a summer treasure hunt around the school grounds. Other highlights included trampolines, the fun bus, the craft market and hugely popular barbeque and beer tent!

A big thank you to all the members of the PFA for organising and running the event. They managed to raise over £1000!!!
