Zoom Young Film Maker Awards 2011

Last term our ICT Task Force children were lucky enough to be involved in a filmmaking project with Lillipad Media. During several of our after-school sessions the children helped create a film entitled, 'How to Build a Time Machine.' This was a collaborative project and children from four of our cluster primary schools also filmed scenes. All the children involved learnt many new skills and had the opportunity to plan, act, direct and of course film.

I am delighted to announce that the film was put forward for the prestigious 'Zoom' award at this years 'Welsh Young Filmmaker Awards' and has subsequently been shortlisted in the final three! The film will be shown on the big screen during the award ceremony on Friday 11th March at 'Valley Kids' in Penycraig. The ICT Task Force will be there on the night when the overall winner will be announced. We will let you know how they get on as soon as we hear.
