Please look out for the letters, sent home today, about a possible new holiday club to be held at half term. Sports Stars (formally known as Rising Stars), the company who run our after school multi-sports club, have expressed an interest in running a half term holiday club at the school. The club would be open to any pupil aged from 5 to 11 and children would have the opportunity to take part in a variety of sporting activities. Where possible, and weather permitting, the sessions will take place outside but the hall would be available when needed. Sessions would cost in the region of £10 a day or £40 for the full week.I would like to stress that this would not be an official school club – all responsibilities would be with the Sports Stars staff (who are all fully qualified and CRB checked). Due to the good relationship the school has built with the company, I have agreed for the grounds to be made available for a trial run this October half term. For this pilot club to take place it needs a minimum of 20 participants. If you would be interested in your child taking part, please complete the slip your child has brought home and return to school by Monday. This is simply to find out how much interest there is – you will not be committing to anything. Should levels of interest be high enough, the company will send out a more detailed letter to all pupils along with an official registration form.
