Class 3 went to visit a Synagogue at Cyncoed, Cardiff. They were all very excited about going but had to wait a little while as the bus ran out of petrol outside the school! It wasn't long before a different bus came to pick them up - they all thought it was rather funny. When they arrived at the Synagogue they were greeted by Rabbi Wollenburg holding a box full of kippahs. All the boys had to wear one before they were allowed inside. They looked very smart.
Inside the Synagogue the children sat quietly and listened to the Rabbi tell them all about the important features (Ark, Ner Tamid, Bimah) and were amazed when he opened the Ark and showed them the Torah Scrolls - they all said 'WOW'.
They were ALL very well behaved and learnt alot about the Jewish faith. Later that day the children talked about the visit and wrote 'thank you' letters to the Rabbi for inviting them to the Synagogue.
